S.S.T. is a single with two songs specially written and performed by Prince for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. S.S.T. stands for Sade’s Sweetest Taboo, which was the song played by news stations in the aftermath of the disaster. Hurricane Katrina remains the seventh most powerful cyclone ever recorded and claimed the lives of at least 1,833 people. Striking at the end of August 2005 the storm flooded 80% of New Orleans. The proceeds from the release were donated to the disaster relief fund.
