BonoPaul Hewson (aka - Bono) - Vocals
Born in Dublin, on 10th May 1960. His mother, Iris, died when in 1974. He was given the nickname ‘Bono Vox’ by his long time friend who took the name from a make of hearing aid which is latin for ‘good voice’. He is the lyricist of the band and often considers himself as not a great singer. Bono married in 1982 and together they have two sons and two daughters. A keen political activist in supporting human rights, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003 and again in 2005. He is the only person in history who has been nominated for an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe, and for the Nobel Prize. He was written songs for Luciano Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, and Keith Richards. Bono’s father, Robert, died in 2001. Recently, Bono was voted by senior music executives as the most powerful personality in the industry.

The EdgeDavid Evans (aka The Edge) - Guitar, Keyboards
Born in Barking, Essex, to Welsh parents, on 8th August 1961, his family moved to Dublin in 1962. He and his brother, Richard, joined the band in 1976, but his brother left shortly afterwards. He was nicknamed ‘The Edge’ because of his apparent chiselled facial appearance, and nearly left U2 shortly after making their second album. He married in 1983 and had three daughters, but they separated in 1990 and divorced in 1996. His troubles with the marriage became much of the inspiration behind the Achtung Baby's 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses’, ‘The Fly’, and ‘One’. He married his second wife, a choreographer, in 2002. Although he is the quiet member of U2, his influence is the key behind the bands undeniable quaility.

Born in Artane Dublin Ireland on 31st October 1961, Larry is the youngest member of U2, the band he formed at only 14 years of age. He was taught the drums in 1971 by Ireland's best known drummer Joe Bonnie who died in 1974. Larry began playing drums for Post-Office Workers Union Band and the Artane Boys' Band.
