	<title>Prince says Welcome 2 America</title>

		<p><img src="http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/images/welcome2america.jpg" alt="Prince Welcome 2 America" width="167" height="250" align="left">At a wet afternoon in New York&rsquo;s Apollo Theatre Prince announced on 14 October that on a &quot;Purple day in December&quot; (the 15th to be exact) a series of concerts will begin called <strong>Welcome 2 America</strong>. &quot;I got a lot of hits. Bring friends, bring children, and bring foot spray because it's gonna be funky.&quot;</p>
		<p>Prince, the Master of Ceremonies for the show will feature guests Maceo Parker, Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, Cassandra Wilson, Lalah Hathaway and Sheila E., as well as, of course, a full force New Power Generation.</p>
		<p>In not the intimate setting fans were hoping for, a-la <a href="http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/concerts/club3121.htm">Club 3121</a> in Las Vegas, the new shows will be performed at Madison Square Garden and New Jersey's Izod Center, for the dates, visit the the <a href="http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/tours.htm#tourdates">Prince tours</a> section for updates and venue information.</p>

	<title>20Ten: the new album coming to a - newsstand! - near you</title>
	<description><![CDATA[
		<p><img src="http://www.goldiesparade.co.uk/images/20Tencover.jpg" alt="Click for 20Ten track listing" width="153" height="150" align="right">It&rsquo;s all numbers for the next release <strong>20Ten</strong>, Prince&rsquo;s 27th studio album, will be released as yet another purple freebie, not this time by a clothing outlet but by his old nemeses - the press. The first will be in French via the Courrier International on 8 July, followed up on the 10th with the Het Nieuwsblad newspaper in Belgium and by the Daily Mirror in the UK with finally Germany through Rolling Stone magazine on the 22nd. It is highly likely, though unconfirmed, the album will be released through similar deals for other countries though is expected to have a conventional release with Warner Brothers at some unspecified date. 20Ten will be supported by various festival appearances across Europe this summer. In the deal with the Daily Mirror the newspaper will be distributing 2.5 million copies of the album as well as run several Prince-related features including an exclusive interview.</p>

		<p>Prince&rsquo;s <em>Dreamer</em> has been nominated for a Grammy at its 52nd award show to be held at the Staples Centre in LA on 31 January.  The song, from Lotosflw3r, has been entered in the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance category and is up against the likes of veterans Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen.</p>
