Is this the end? Prince "no plans" to record new album
Prince admits things have gotten different in later years: he has fallen out of love recording music. With piracy rife on the internet he has put aside all plans to record another album. In an interview given to the Guardian he cited the internet's lawlessness had taken all the joy of releasing new music, spreading it as lifeless and digitised sound waves: "We're analogue people". Despite self-promoted runs with membership sites NPGOlineLTD, 3121, and LotusFlo3r.com he turned his back on the internet and closed the doors on his latest website, selling his last album, 20Ten, instead through deals that circulated the CD free with many European newspapers; Prince admitted the anguish had gotten all too much lately. Heading on an extensive summer tour of European festivals he mentions is happiest when on stage performing to his fans, but hinted it could be a long while before returning to the studio to record again.

The Hop Farm, a festival founded in 2008 on May 18th confirmed in a surprise announcement Prince will be headlining a specially added third date to the event which is to take place at Tunbridge Wells, Kent 1st 2md and now 3rd of July. The news also that this will be his only show will be a snub to Glastonbury organisers who hoped to secure Prince to their bill. Prince has not performed in the UK since 2007s 21 night at The O2, for his Earth Tour. Event organisers are delighted the "integrity to the bill" Prince has bought this up and coming festival, which on its two other days, Morrissey (Friday), The Eagles (Saturday) will be headlining. Other acts joining Prince on the Sunday include, Tinie Tempah, Larry Graham and Imelda May.
